Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body and mind, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Trauma Specific Massage uses a variety of techniques to reduce pain and limitations resulting from a trauma such as a fall, automobile accident, sports injury or surgery. Techniques include but are not limited to; deep tissue, fascial and trigger point releases, and PIMR (post isometric muscle release).
These tools are also useful for relief from chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia, TMJ, and scoliosis. Regular medical massage therapy can greatly reduce limitations, increase function and improve quality of life.
An additional option is abdominal massage. Many of us are overwhelmed with back, neck or limb pain and we forget about the abdomen! The abdomen or core has layers of muscle, fascia and fat covering, protecting and insulating our organs. Benefits of abdominal massage therapy include improvement of digestion and elimination through manual techniques, improvement of organ and system function through fascial and energy releases. Often low back pain is relieved once abdominal fascia is balanced, trigger points are released and/or the large and small intestines return to good funciton.

Massage therapy is a widely accepted modality for rehabilitation and health maintenance. Please ask your medical, chiropractic or orthopedic doctor for your massage therapy prescription. I can provide a form for your convenience.
With a prescription, it might be possible for your medical massage expense to be applied to your deductible, health savings or flexible spending account.
All rates listed above are for services provided at 590 Main Street, Groveport, Ohio 43125. Rates for off site events and services are negotiated individually.
